Simple C6 Major and Minor Chord Locator

Simple chord locator for some basic Major and Minor chords on 8 string Lap Steel Guitar.

This application is a simple chord locator for some of the basic Major and Minor chords on an 8 string Lap Steel Guitar. Listen to chord sounds to help train your ears to hear the correct pitches.

The tuning on the particular guitar used in the app is C6 and goes from Low to High: A - C - E - G - A - C - E - G.

To make Major chords, play combinations of the C - E - G strings with the bar positions shown in the app.

To make Minor chords, play combinations of the A - C - E strings with the bar positions shown in the app.

View Major and Minor Tab string combinations by highlighting the different chord
names from the Tab lists and select the “Play” button to listen to the sounds that go with each tab.

White circles indicate open strings. (no bar)

Black circles indicate strings played
with the bar on the fret where the circles are.

Numbers indicate inversions of each chord.

You can review directions on how to use this app on the Info screen.

Once you learn to play some chords, we show you how to play simple songs.

The app is meant to be easy to follow and fun for all ages.
